Firstly, I'm not a 0-60 person, just want to clear that up 
But as title really, has anyone ever tested their standard Evo at this?? Reason I'm asking, I came across a site and it says the IX MR 360 does it in 3.9 secs which to me seems very quick? Also a stock TME ( none RED) :lol: does it in 4.4, again, they seem a bit inflated to me??
Of course, I could be totally wrong in this but it must take NO mechanical sympathy what so ever??
I'm sure Aidy will have some input on this :thumbup:

To be fair pete i honestly cant see most 10 to 16 year old cars doing the manufacturer's figures as standard, you could probably knock off a second or two nowadays :smthumbup

Are there any standard ones left though? :lol:. Tyre technology has advanced a lot since these first came out too...

There are a few standard one's left but imho think the 0-60 times are overestimated..there not that quick as standard

When these times are taken, not just with the Evo, all cars especially performance cars are treated like absolute ****, no care or sympathy to try to get the best that can be achieved. As owners of the Evo, or any car, we will never achieve these figures.

Agreed. I have never launched my Evo, nor will I.
I have too much mechanical sympathy, although I don't mind grabbing it by the scruff of the neck when moving ;-)

Don't Evo owners test their cars with Race logic performance box or similar?. GTR forum has a sticky thread of 0-60 & 0-100 times for GTRs of different spec.

In some cases 0 to 60 times can be quicker than actually stated, ive seen it for my self, so nobody will convince me otherwise.

0-100 mph is better
Just watched new Porsche 911 turbo s do 0-100 mph in 6 dead and 1/4 in 10.5

I always thought the 0-60 times were on bugger all fuel and on an RR for no drag ? It's relevant to other manufacturers as they are all colourful with the truth

Get it wrong with a manual Evo, it can cost you a clutch. Fine if you don't give a ****, want to be pointless and have money to throw away for abusing your car.
The GT-R is easy as it does it all for you.

Seen that before myself with the Ralliart Sportback I had. Was much quicker than stated by the manufacturer.

At 400 bhp and similar torque, I pulled a 3.9 second 0-60 mph as per Racelogic and 9. something 0-100 mph.
I wouldn't be surprised if you could achieve quoted standard figures if you absolutely nailed the launch.

TME's are 4.3 second anyway. I bet with that much wax you could shave a tenth of that!

I remember reading that it took something like 40 launches to achieve the 3.5 sec time of the FQ400 so pro driver 40 times and couldn't repeat it, nowadays GTR 3.5 on tap for the blind, think it's even down to 3.2 or 3.3 :coolsm:

Not much of a pro driver then, should be ashamed of himself whoever it was. So this so called pro driver couldent get 1st to 2nd in the right rev range and quickly shift? :lol:
Give it to a real driver and he'll get those 0 to 62 times everytime, till the clutch goes lol.
The evo 8 FQ400 and the X FQ400 had Many hours off development by top teams, to make sure they performed as they should and also being reliable at the same time, also the teams that developed the 400s chose witch upgraded parts to use.
There where a number of 400s (a few both evo 8 fq400 and evo 10 fq400) that had ecu problems, causeing a few to not perform as they should.
Gtrs get tested to make sure it performs as it should, the gearbox gets tested under load before going on the car.
When each GTR are finished being built they get run in by actually being driven by a human, on there own test course.
